In a major move for K-pop's international invasion, NYLON magazine has devoted two features in their new music issue to spotlight three top Korean acts.

Record-breaking girl group 2NE1 are spotlighted in the glossy, as are famous sisters Jessica and Krystal Jung -- members of Girls' Generation and f(x) respectively. Critically-acclaimed sister-trio Haim cover the June/July mag that also features Ellie Goulding, Lily Allen, Chromeo, Lykke Li, Rita Ora and more tastemaking musicians.
Both 2NE1 and the Jung sisters both recently posed for covers of Korea's version of the fashion/pop-culture mag, posing for the May and June covers, respectively. Both were photographed by NYLON founder Marvin Scott Jarrett – who called 2NE1 "friends for life" in a behind-the-scenes video (watch below).

In a behind-the scenes video of the Jung sisters' shoot, Jarrett spoke about including the pair in the U.S. version of the magazine. "I think people are going to be really interested in learning about Jessica and Krystal and hearing their music," he said, possibly indicating that a rumored album between the girls is in the works. "I think that might be a good introduction to the U.S. audience."

After thriving online for years, the inclusion stands as another move of K-pop penetrating traditional U.S. media. Earlier this year, music channel Fuse dedicated a week-long special to the scene.

The June/July issue of NYLON is now on sale at U.S. newsstands.
