BTS’ Japanese Single Album Climbs to the Top of Oricon Chart

BTS’ Japanese debut single made its way to the top of Oricon chart.

Having released the debut album No More Dream – Japanese Ver. on June 4, BTS’ single ranked number six on the Oricon on the day of release and climbed its way up, ranking third on June 7.

About BTS’ rise on the chart, an affiliate in Japan stated, “It seems that not only K-pop fans but all Japanese music fans have begun to feel the charms of BTS’ music. People have been purchasing after listening to the music, after it was released. BTS’ music has been appealing to all the music fans in Japan on top of the hallyu fans.”

BTS headed to Japan after the single album was released to promote its music through various broadcasting programs and off line stages.

The group held a mini concert and a ‘high five event’ on June 7 and 8 in DiverCity in Tokyo and Senri Selcy in Osaka, meeting with over 20,000 fans.

BTS will be promoting actively in Korea and Japan for the rest of June.
