Foreign Tourists Rush to See ′You Who Came from the Stars′ Drama Set

With the exhibition officially opened, tourists from abroad rushed to check out the drama set of SBS′ You Who Came From the Stars.

On June 10, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza opened up the You Who Came From the Stars drama set. From June 10 to June 16, a total of 6000 people have visited with around 85 percent of them being foreigners. 80 percent of the foreign tourists were Chinese, confirming that the You Who Came From the Stars craze is still strong in China.

With the number of tourists from India, USA, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, growing, fans from even Israel visited, attracting attention. Sava Yafit and Sbrin from Israel said, "I really like Korean dramas and came to visit Korea when I saw an article about the drama set, so I came to see it."

Not only that, around 50 reporters from AFP and other international news agencies arrived on set, showing much interest in the drama.



As tourists and foriegn media continue to visit, the special exhibition provides exact replicas of Chun Song Yi and Do Min Joon′s houses from the drama. Visitors are also able to experience being inside the drama with photo opportunities available inside several places of the exhibition, including Do Min Joon′s study den.

"There are currently many foreign visitors to the set, and with vacation time coming around, we′re anticipating many Korean visitors as well," said an affiliate of the exhibition. "The You Who Came From the Stars drama set has become a killer item and a must-see attraction for Chinese tourists and will contribute to the tourist revenue for Korea."

Meanwhile, the You Who Came From the Stars exhibition is also showcasing a real meteor that fell in Jinju on March 9, not so long after the drama′s conclusion, adding an extra something special to the set.

Starting this week, visitors of the exhibit may experience the drama production process with real broadcast cameras and other special features prepared, including helicams, time slice filming, and more.

The drama set exhibit will be open until August 15 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza from 10AM to 10PM (KST).
